Henderson County Arrest Records

Henderson County arrest records are generated immediately after a local detention. Initially compiled and maintained independently by the specific arresting agency, such as the Henderson County Sheriff's Office or the Hendersonville Police Department, these records typically include the arrestee's identifying data, the alleged offense, the arresting department, and the arrest date.

Usually, regional arrests flow into the centralized county jail system operated by the Henderson County Sheriff's Office. Therefore, while separate arrest reports remain with the individual arresting department, the Sheriff's Office keeps a comprehensive file of recent arrests.

Thus, one can request the narrative arrest report from the specific arresting agency or check the Sheriff's Office public intake or booking logs for basic arrest information. Arrest records are generally open to the public under the North Carolina Public Records Law. Note, however, that if an arrestee was never jailed (for example, if they were released on a citation or criminal summons), the Sheriff's Office will not have a record of them.
